I am a collector, a gatherer, a teller of stories.
Studying nature has always been an integral part of my senses. Seeing the colors of the seasons, tasting the current fruits of the harvests, absorbing the sounds and smells around me. Feeling the earth and my relation to it became a passion. The world is my pallet of inspiration.
After studying art in high school and college, I became an elementary and special education art teacher. My calling for many years was in fostering and developing creative minds in challenging and oftentimes impoverished communities. I have studied mixed media, mosaics, sculpture, jewelry, and drawing with instructors from all over the world, learning about techniques, methodology, materials, and more. My work has been showcased in shows across the United States. I have pieces globally in private collections. Today, I have found a way to express my own spirituality and vision into an art form. I have discovered that mosaic art allows me the freedom to use an abundance of materials found in the natural, and often discarded, sources around the world. I strive to create unique expressions of our physical and emotional world into thought provoking pieces. My pieces are in private collections around the world.
